It's time to highlight and celebrate the awesome people in our community that got us through the last months of COVID19.
We're running a promotion that lets you nominate people or groups that made a positive difference to you in the support they offered. We want to hear about those acts of kindness, no matter how small they might have been, that meant so much.
Examples of this could be telephoning a friend or loved one to check that they are ok, helping their children through the lockdown period and assisting them with schoolwork, or even the simple act of staying at home to keep the community safe.
Nominate all those that made a difference to your COVID experience and let us know what they did to help get you through. We will put them in the draw to win a New World grocery hamper worth $150 (sponsored by the Ōpōtiki Lions Club) and an emergency getaway kit.
Please make sure you get their permission for the nomination first and that the support they gave was within the Ōpōtiki district and that they live (or operate their business or organisation) in the Ōpōtiki district.
