Government announce investment in technical work

Minister for Economic Development Steven Joyce and Minister for Maori Development Te Ururoa Flavell travelled to Opotiki to announce Government’s investment to finalise technical work for the Harbour project.

The Ministry for Primary Industries and Opotiki District Council have prepared a flyer to help explain the project and a little more about the announcement.

To celebrate, Opotiki District Council, Whakatohea Maori Trust Board and many other partners held a street party in the historic precinct on 31 October 2015. Thank you to all those who came along and celebrated the announcement with us.
