There was some chuckling, some twittering, some cackling and some outright belly-laughs at Michele A'Court and Jeremy Elwood's recent On the Road show, part of Ōpōtiki's Arts on Tour programme.
It was a sell-out show and Michele A'Court showed off on Twitter with before and after shots of the Ōpōtiki Senior Citizens Hall.
Library Manager, Jo Hunt, said that it was a great way to kick off the Arts on Tour series and it set the tone for further ticket sales for the March event.
"We were thrilled with the atmosphere at the On the Road show - everyone was so pleased to be there and you could tell that the performers really enjoyed themselves -the jokes rolled really naturally and it was fun on both sides of the stage. It is such a cool thing to bring acts like this to Ōpōtiki and they are so well supported.
"The next show is right around the corner - this Sunday 10 March 2019. Tickets are available from the Library and also online at trybooking.com," Ms Hunt said.
The show is called Mockingbird and explores the often-neglected subject of mental health through the use of humour, mask and music. The reviews say:

Ms Hunt said that the two shows were close together in February and March but it was a bit of a gap before the next Arts of Tour event in May.
"So grab your ticket because there may be a few quiet months until the next show in May. There aren't too many opportunities to see famous Lecoq trained artists here in Ōpōtiki so grab a ticket while you can!"
