Congratulations to our new council, sworn in this morning at the Ōpōtiki RSA.

We had a fantastic turnout for the pohiri which was followed by the inaugural meeting of Council.

Mayor Lyn Riesterer has announced Councillor Shona Browne as your new Deputy Mayor.

This special event marked a very proud day for the community and our thanks go to all involved. You can see more photos and read more about it in next Tuesday's Ōpōtiki News Newspaper.
