Covid-19 - Council services at Alert Level 2
We are now at COVID alert level 2 (Bay of Plenty & rest of New Zealand) and Auckland is level 3. This will remain in place for seven days until 6:00am Sunday 7 March.
At Alert Level 2 all Ōpōtiki District Council services and facilities continue to operate – with some changes.
Our RRCs are operating one lane only, with one customer served at a time – expect delays.
The Library and Digital Hub will be open normal hours (9am-5pm and 10am-5pm respectively) but will close for an hour each day between 12noon-1pm for extra cleaning. Staff in public areas will be wearing masks at all times and most of the seating will be removed to encourage social distancing.
Our i-SITE advises Intercity have cancelled journeys through Auckland. Please see https://www.intercity.co.nz/travel-info/network-status for full details.
Measures are in place at all of our service centres, facilities and Resource Recovery Centres (RRCs) to ensure the safety of our customers and staff in line with level 2 rules. This includes hygiene standards, physical distancing, contact tracing registers, limits to numbers of people in facilities/meeting rooms/areas, and further processes and protocols when meeting with staff.
Please phone ahead and book appointments. Some staff may be working off site.
If you are sick do not visit our offices. Stay home, and if you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, call your doctor or Healthline and get advice about being tested.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. You can view full service and facility details on our website: https://www.odc.govt.nz/our-council/covid-19
