Council advises users on the Ōpōtiki water supply that there will be a water shutdown to enable Council’s contractor to carry out valve maintenance and replacement.
The water shutdown is scheduled for:
Friday 1st April 2022
From 9.00am to 1:00pm
Affected properties are highlighted in the below image (area bounded by orange line).
Before the shutdown residents are advised to fill containers with enough water for their needs during the duration of the shutdown. Due to the nature of these works times may extend and we advise preparing for any delays that may occur. Council advise that residents may experience discoloured water once the repairs have been completed. If discolouration occurs residents are requested to run their outside tap until the water becomes clear. Council apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this shutdown.
