Last week, Ōpōtiki Mayor David Moore, presented certificates at Jayar Electrical to Jaden Andrews who recently completed his employment programme through the Mayors Taskforce for Jobs.
Mayor Moore said that it was a great opportunity to acknowledge the mahi of the employees and their employers.
“It is a great part of the job of being mayor is being part of these small but significant milestones in people’s lives.
“Mayors Taskforce for Jobs is all about getting young people engaged in employment, education, training, or other positive activity in their communities. It makes such a difference in everyone’s lives.
“And it takes both sides of the coin to get good results – so well done to Jaden for his mahi and well done to Jayar Electrical. Great employers help make great employees and we really appreciate them being part of the MTJF programme,” Mayor Moore said.
