Voting has opens for the New Zealand Events Association awards for 2024, and with the 2023 events a finalist in two categories, Ōpōtiki isite officer, Zarius Waters, said everyone should take a quick moment to head to the NZEA website and vote for Ōpōtiki!
“We’re just a small district so we need everyone who can to vote for us so people can see just how proud we are of our Matariki events here in Ōpōtiki. We’d love to share the recognition for everyone who gave their time and energy to community-led activities and it will help us make each year a bigger and brighter Matariki in Ōpōtiki!” Ms Waters said.

2023 calendar of events (it is 2023 Matariki that is up for the awards). The Ōpōtiki calendar is a wide range of different events each year with local organisations, individuals and businesses adding their events or ideas.
