About the role
We are on the lookout for a Project Co-ordinator to join our team. This role supports the delivery of capital and operational projects across Ōpōtiki District Council.
The Project Co-ordinator will work closely with Programme Manager and Project Managers to provide coordination, reporting, and contract administration support, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with Council standards and contracts. A key focus of this role will be the creation, development and implementation of ODC project documentation template suite, including project charters, management plans, close-out reports, and other essential templates to standardise project practices.

About you
This role will suit someone who is forward-thinking and continuously looking for ways to improve and streamline systems and processes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the Council’s project delivery framework while promoting collaboration, health and safety, and workplace well-being.
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in project co-ordination
- Knowledge of NZS391X contracts and administration processes
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for report writing and engagement
- Proficiency in Project Management tools and Microsoft Office
- A forward-thinking and process-oriented way of working
- Keen problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
- A current driver’s licence
