On Wednesday 19 March, between 9am and 12pm council is replacing aged water pipe valves in the Waiotahe Drifts. Doing this work now, will allow contractors to minimise future water maintenance disruption in the Drifts.
Work is being carried out in front of 6 Arakotipu Boulevard and 28 Arakotipu Boulevard which will affect the entire Drifts water supply.
Please store enough clean water to get you through this 3 hour slot (9am - 12pm). Fill up the jug and top up the water bottles.
Please note that water supply to other areas could experience a drop in pressure.
Once water is restored, air can at times build up and water become discolored. Simply purge your lines by running an outside tap until the water runs clear and flows normally.
