Resource Recovery Centre operations at Alert Level 3

There will be changes to operations at our Resource Recovery Centres from Tuesday 28 April when New Zealand moves to Alert Level 3.

Bagged household rubbish will be accepted.

Sorted glass bottles and clean cardboard and paper will be accepted.

Domestic green waste will be accepted - Opotiki RRC only.

All other waste is not accepted during alert level 3.

We encourage you to clean and store other recyclables. If that is not possible they may be put in with your bagged household rubbish.

There is no cost for disposal during Alert Level 3.

Staff are not permitted to physically assist the public with the disposal of refuse.

Due to the increased level of change in operations, some delays should be expected. We thank you for your patience.

These changes will allow some further opening of RRC services for our residents and ratepayers while maintaining protocols in line with government guidelines for Alert Level 3 and continuing to put the health and safety of our staff as a priority.
