The reserves include sportsfields, parks, Council managed natural areas and some Ōpōtiki District Council land such as the area encompassing Council's administration building.
The plans are administered under the Reserves Act 1977 and aim to ensure that reserves provide the opportunity for use and enjoyment as well being appropriately maintained, protected and preserved.
Consultation on the Reserve Management Plan 2019 review opened on Monday 9 December 2019 and closed on Tuesday 14 April 2020 at 4pm.
Council considered all submissions at a hearings meeting on Monday 3 August 2020 before making final decisions. A copy of the Schedule of Speakers and copy of all Submissions is available through our Archived Agendas and Minutes page.
